This program will give a brief background on the dynamics of five high conflict personality disorders (Borderline, Narcissistic, Antisocial, Histrionic, and Paranoid). Then we will address four common approaches to avoid, followed by four key skills to emphasize with potentially high conflict clients, family members and opposing counsel, including EAR Statements to verbally calm upset people and the BIFF Response method of responding to hostile email and text communications. Several tips for managing their litigation and negotiation cases will be presented. Finally, he will briefly explain his New Ways for Families skills training method for potentially high conflict parents in use in several family court systems.
